I did a double take when I saw this bird until I realized it was wood! I just love the white on white motif and the calmness the photo has.
Seems appropriate to use all this white today seeing as we're being snowed in!
Happy Animal Wednesday to my two-footed, four-footed and feathered friends.
Gee it sure looks real!
ReplyDeleteStay warm and safe Lolo.
HAW
No snow here-but wayyyyyy too cold. Whine whine. And I thought about how nice it would be to winter out on the cape.....
ReplyDeletetoo funny, because i was there and like teri i thought this was real too! lo, it is so fun to see the pictures your talented eye found in provincetown. for anyone who loves his/her camera (uh, like just about all of us!), i highly recommend an afternoon or a day or a weekend with a friend (or friends) who is also flashing away. you got so many shots i never even saw! that's the fun of it!
ReplyDeleteLOLO-why are you letting the woman talk on MY day? And you posted a bird too! YES! YES! YES!
ReplyDeleteI love this decoy. I can see why you were fooled at first.

Lolo-she is behaving better now. The poppy poppy was throwing a fit, and she took me over to his cage and I got to sit and yell at him "DO YOU WANNA GO OUTSIDE? HUH?" and he barked and barked and carried on till he figured out barking did no good.
ReplyDeleteI was very patient, when he would be quiet and lie down, I'd taunt him into getting back up and barking.
Finally the dumb poppy poppy poppy figured out he wouldn't get out if he barked, and he couldn't bark even if I could talk...OH YES. I enjoyed training the poppy poppy poppy.
I thought it was real also, how are you liking this first big cold wet snowstorm????
ReplyDeleteHAW and be well
Hi! I saw your work at Etsy, and I think they're lovely! Especially the cats... (^_^)
ReplyDeleteHow serene! Brrr - wrap up well!
ReplyDeleteheehee it fooled me for a sec too!
ReplyDeleteI with you on the calmness of your photo. This little wooden bird (who does indeed look very real) looks utterly relaxed and serene. A really nice picture!

The bird was across the street, several yards away. It wasn't until I zoomed in with my camera that I realized it wasn't real.

ReplyDeleteI love it and how are you loving the snow Ms. California?
