Animal Wednesday: Zen Dog

This collage is a favorite of one of my friends. Right now I need to believe what it says! Been a bit down in the old dumps this week with a few let downs as well as having to give up my studio. At least I have one more month to be there, and 4 more Illustration Fridays, Animal Wednesdays and Cactus Mondays to create before I go back to using the dining room table. I'll still be here every week!

Happy Animal Wednesday!

  3. Ah man, that hurts. But I agree with soulbrush, your dining room table is going to yield some really awesome stuff, and before you know it, something even better will come along. Hang in there kiddo!

  6. That lil' dog is so cute. Think of all of the wonderful creative things you can do at your table, with emma in tow... she will be so glad to have you home and a new environment might open up new inspiration.

  7. Awwww, try not to be down Laurel. I had to give mine up too recently (which was a converted room in my apartment) and I found the dining room table works just fine for me. I'm sure you'll make great art wherever you go!

  8. Yes, this is difficult. Recently I had to go through something like this also. I thought settling for less, but for some reason, just by accepting these limitations, I see now, that I needed something other than what I thought was important ..

    Laurel,
I wish you a l l the strength and trust you need to accept this difficult time.

    Big hug,
    Suana

  13. Thanks everyone! I realize that closing these doors will allow me to move on and concentrate on the move back east that we're hoping to be able to make. There will be another studio lolo!

  14. Hi Lolo,
Wonderful collage! Love the cute doggie with the underbite.
The message is a little sad though..
Hop you can be just as creative at your dinnertable, but it must be hard to miss your studio. I hope something else will fill in the space.

  15. It's taken me awhile to realize once you think you're worth a studio, you no longer NEED a studio. You will make art wherever you go my friend.
