Introducing "Violet Rain."
Yes, I'm a proud mama ;)
I thought perhaps I went a little too heavy-handed with the irridescence, so then I matted her sheen down a bit. I'm not sure she looks better here though.
I'll play with her a bit more tomorrow, but for now we're both calling it a day.
Well, she's cawling it a day!
I hope to be able to make more and get better at it.
What fun this was!!
Marianne, I'm still on that roll! ♥

ReplyDeletethe first is my favorite too, but not totally. my very favorite is still the baby white raven. honest to god. there is something so little and pure about her. can lolo ravens be different colors? any one would know just by their expressions that they are lolo ravens. this is going to be such fun, lo!

ReplyDeleteYour name for your iridescent darling is perfect...these figures touch my heart, lo, I can't wait to see more!
Very very nice!
ReplyDeleteRavens are amazing birds, they display by tumbling in the air hundreds of metres up and are very intelligent and playful. Your sculpture reminds me of being in wild places watching Ravens...
Little roost is beyond adorable. Lo, i hope you keep your first made, this wee raven is at home with you.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Loved enlarging and getting all the details.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried paper clay,,but always thought I might some day.
Looks like you've really got a handle on it, Lo!

Oh, I like the first, with the violet sheen.
ReplyDeleteI like the iridescence, but that does make it a wee bit starling-like. Either way, it's a beautiful baby bird.
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful - you've captured that awkward baby look perfectly. It's very sweet.
