Cactus Monday: Moonshine

Cactus reaching for the moon,

tell me your secret.

What is it you seek?

The moonlight adores you.

You shine in it's bask.

Alas, that's the answer

to the question I ask.

A feeble attempt at a poem. Happy Cactus Monday, fellow Cactuteers!

  2. The colors in this are so relaxing. Almost like the cactus is floating in a sea of moon light.

Love the poem too. It draws your mind into the painting.

  10. you are a poet and don't know it but your feet show it, they are longfellows. Did you used to say this when you were a kid? I love the blues in this picture and the paint splotches. Maybe you can do a little book of paintings and poems.

  12. Laurel, I think I forgot to tell you I love your collage below.

I did notice the wool cap and I love her, she is actually sitting right beside my left ear on a clipboard. I adore her body, it is exactly like mine. Loving and comforting, and especially cozy.

Laurel, oh my God, I would love the set of books. I would like to buy them off you. Josephine will be 2 on June 1st, but I'm hoping to be here for awhile so I am sure I can read them to her anytime.

Lets pretend the books can only be read to her at 20 and so I have to live another 18 years, wouldn't that be a dream.

I love Kelly Vivanco's work too and I use her whenever I put a picture of my family on the blog. For the N words, Nadalene (one of my daughters), Nathan (my son), and Nizam (Wahid is my husband -- his real name is Nizam).

Love you and love my package.

    Love Renee

  21. Hey Laurel:

My birthday is March 28th. I will be 53. When I was first diagnosed with IBC I was just about to turn 50. Of course that put an end to any idea of a celebration. So I hope I have a million more birthdays.

    When is your birthday?

Laurel, I gave my friend the card of the haddock because her cancer is on the move and they think it will be in the bone marrow too. It was the perfect card because even magic pills could not take our cancer away.

    Love you.
