Illustration Friday: Toy

There's something about rubber duckies that makes me smile!
Even the fish are attracted to it. Or perhaps they're trying to figure out what he's doing in the ocean. Don't lose your duck down the bathtub drain!!
(After I painted this I noticed the word "atoll" above the duck. What a coincidence!)

Have  a "ducky" weekend everyone!

  2. You did it! It's WONDERFUL! Here's my Rubber Ducky Story...walking enroute to the bus one day, I saw a little ducky (like yours) someone had left inside a barred window. He looked so sad and alone....yes, I took him home, have him a good bath and he resides on the rim of my tub!

    We should always have toys!

Love that yours is under the "atoll"!

    MUWAH!

  4. I'm not from a rubber ducky culture, but my kids were raised watching Sesame Street, and this makes me think of the Rubber Ducky song. "Rubber Ducky, you're the one... You make bathtime so much fun..." Isn't that how it goes?

  6. This rubber ducky looks like an exotic flower with roots to me. Similar to the bird of paradise flower. Hmmmm maybe I have been in the garden too much lately. Sweet painting.

  9. Good morning pumpkin. (one of these days pumpkin will be the IF word and you will have to draw me!--ahaha!)

lo, you can draw anything. This is a vey innocent interpretation of 'toy'--I think it takes most of us back to our own bathtubs. Somehow we tend to keep our own or our children's rubber duckies.

Now where did I put mine?

Ps hello from a wonderful weekend ♥

  11. Lovely! I love duckies too. In St. John's they had a fundraiser where they put 100s of duckies in the river for a race. It was fantastic to watch!

Right now I am tired after a long busy flight.

Your toy ducky is just so cute and such a wonderful take on toy. I remember the duckies Lars and felix had when they were small just like this one.
