Cactus Monday: A Ponderable

I went to see a long time old, old friend today which is why I'm just showing up now, and while I was driving I got to thinking about this...

What if cactus grew in cornfields???

Summer makes my head spin in the heat and humidity!

Happy Cactus Monday my friends ;)

  1. You're a nutcase lolo!! I'd not want to lie down and watch the sun in a prickly cornfield! Lovely picture though.

  5. Here I was, waiting to read a touching story about the visit with your friend and then BAM! out with 'what if cactus grew in cornfields'. All I can say is, first, get in out of the heat. Secondly, it would make picking corn sort of painful!

  9. I don't know about a corn field, but apparently the trendy new plant combo are cacti and grasses, so a prickly pear with Mexican feather grass. I don't think your idea is too far out there. Plus it looks like you have edible crops growing together.

    Happy Cactus Monday!

  10. If Cactus grew in Cornfields, they'd be cactus fields wouldn't they? Ba dump Ba dump-thank you very much and I'll be here till Friday.

I've got prickly pears and leaves in a bag-because I got thorns just picking them out at the store. I'm gonna EAT those prickly pears-just don't know how yet.

Maybe I should figure out how to infuse them in some wine and bring it for October....

  17. Well done and interesting juxtaposition- you’ve made it look natural-- well- as natural as a cacti-cornfield can look anyhow.

Hope all’s great with you and yours in your new home, very glad you made it there and back to Studio Lolo safe and sound.
