I have seen a cat appear to be flying off a 6'tall fence to pounce on a bird. The cat really looked like it was flying. Cute Caution.

Brilliant. I couldn't decide which of your posts to comment on and this one made me laugh so much. It happens to my dog, not just with cats but squirrels, pigeons and even mice too. He is a terrier but (luckily) cannot seem to catch anything. I think they all know this and taunt him mercilessly!
