Illustration Friday: Magnify

Once I have him in my sights I don't dare move.

I've always wanted to see a Magpie in his formal attire.

He's the dapper looking one among his corvid cousins. Orca-esque in his markings and grace.

I turn the lenses of my binoculars ever so slightly just to be sure that I indeed see him looking back at me.
Acrylic paint, colored pencil on patterned scrapbook paper.

Beautiful!! I really love the purples and blues in the bird and I really love how you've painted it on a textured back ground. I've got some scrap book paper that I'd like to paint on you have inspired me!!

One of your finest! We have a whole family of magpies out in the back garden (not ours; owned by the office below us - good; they do the mowing). About my stuff: can you imagine having to live with me?! I'm like that all the time; they won't be able to tell when I become a silly old lady; there will be no difference. Happy Sunday. By the way, a calendar of your corvid collection really is a good idea.

hey there! I'm back online and am so glad, I missed your beautiful paintings!

no ravens in our new neighborhood and I'm bummed. the ones at our old house were such gossips.

we moved to northern virgina (we couldn't find a house in washington that would take all the furballs) and are missing the beach big time.

still not unpacked but getting there.

how'zit going for you?
