Okay, I could use an escape right about now. How about you? The planets are going crazy out there causing all sorts of opposition and tension. Good times! With plans of moving to Rhode Island and other things on my plate, I'm about burned out to the max and need a lot of R&R and self-care. We're still in limbo as to what we're going to do. I may just batten down the hatches for winter and ride this personal storm out. This island is looking like just the place I need to be right now.
For all of you affected by hurricane Ike, my thoughts are with you and your loved ones for a safe outcome.
Please remember to help those who need it most, and remember our four-legged victims as well.

Hope your personal plans come together soon. I know how hard it is to be in limbo as to where your life is going to end up next. The next chapter should be something you are looking forward to. :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous.....thinking about you, do try to just sit back and view the whole picture and remember 'if you worry you die, if you don't worry you still die, so why worry?'

ReplyDeleteoh.. i didnt know you were thinking of moving out of the area. :( i may have to move too; but just from the apartment - not to the other coast. My move seems overwhelming; I can't imagine how overwhelming a move to the other coast might be!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Beautifully done. Good luck with your own island (Rhode or not?) quandary!
ReplyDeletelovely job!
ReplyDeleteLast week I went to the dentist, and above my chair on the wall, he has this saying:[it always makes me less stressed, less anxious and I nearly always have to laugh, I hope it will help for you too]:
ReplyDelete"There are only two things to worry about, either you are healthy or you are sick. If you are healthy, then there is nothing to worry about. But if you are sick there are only two things to worry about, either you will get well or you will die. If you get well, then there is nothing to worry about. But if you die there are only two things to worry about, either you will go to heaven or to hell. If you go to heaven, then there is nothing to worry about. And if you go to hell, you'll be so darn busy shaking hands with your friends you won't have time to worry!"
:D
Hang in there, my dear!!
+ I LOVE the way you illustrated this week's topic! Hauntingly magical!
ReplyDeleteI like this piece. Let's jump into it. I understand what you mean!! Are you going to go to Rhode Island? Is that the plan?
ReplyDeleteYou bet I would love to be away someplace. I would even like an island like this, filled with color and life.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous take on the theme and, of course, even in your stressed out state, you managed to come up with something to help soothe all of our souls. Ahhhh! Breeeaath... there I feel better now. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteIt's as if the beautiful flowers are showing you the way to the perfect retreat for your weary soul. This is such a lovely piece. I hope things resolve themselves for you soon. I think the toughest part, emotionally, is being in limbo.
