This is a painting that was commissioned by a friend when she was trying to sell her house just before the real estate market took a dive. She's a firm believer in Feng Shui, and I'm here to tell you it seems to work magic for her.
I finished this painting about fifteen minutes before the open house was to start. We hung it where her Feng Shui master told her too, and I'll be darned if she didn't get a full price offer on the house that day!
Cranes stand for prosperity in Chinese beliefs, and in Feng Shui they have to be divisible by nine. (I had to quickly add 2 more cranes!)
Happy Animal Wednesday, my friends! Here's to prosperity for us all!
Super beautiful!

ReplyDeleteFeng Shui and family harmony starts with how these rooms are decorated and making excellent use of color and the elements to harmonize these spaces for the best effect and positive flow of chi.
Oh GREAT!!!! That it worked also!
ReplyDeleteThe painting is just gorgeous. I would buy the house in which it was in in a instant........ if the painting was to stay.

Let me think for a moment - (½ - 6 = 12² ± 180° X 17) ... never mind!
ReplyDeleteHow's it going, girl? How do I get in on the Animal Wednesday?
ReplyDeleteBeeeyoootiful! I don't know much about feng shui, but I can see there is a whole lot of harmonizing chi going on in that painting. Happy, once again belated, Animal Wednesday!
