Illustration Friday: Layer

After a seemingly endless dark day, the heavy layer of storm clouds were beginning to drift away.
Happily reunited, mother and baby basked in the glowing promise of a new day.

For Illustration Friday: layer
acrylic on canvas 6"x12"

  10. when i enlarged it and could see the texture of the canvas i feel in love with this painting even more.

lo,you are remarkable. you create themes and images and metaphors and inspirations and then you have the talent to execute them. i think this painting is a prime example of how good you really are: the depth, the layers, the shadows, and the love.

speaking of the love, i has it for you friend. ♥

  11. Most layers of Illustration Friday are Earth Layers. Your painting allows us to dwell on cloud layers. Very nice!

  18. You KNOW I am a particular lover of Twilight Dusky colours - but - you have completely captured a beguiling Dawn.... I feel the warmth of the just-rising sun - and of course, the love between Mother and Baby.

Once again, I love how you interpreted "the theme"!

    Love,
