Illustration Friday: Undone

I struggled with this one. All I could come up with were undone buttons on a sexy dress.

I wanted to leave the illustration with an unfinished look.

paper bag, graphite, acrylic paint, colored pencils and white ink

Happy Winter Solstice!!

  4. That fits the "undone" to a T. I love the detail on the dress and the fact that you are drawing on paper bags. I've never tried that.

  17. I like everything about this, except the folds in the paper. Were those intentional? If so, I apologize for not "getting" it...I'm easily distracted these days! I really love the beautiful pattern and the way you did the buttons!

  19. The image is wonderful and there's a terrific balance between the hair and the dress, also between your overall 'unfinished' quality and the very finished look of the pattern of the dress. Cool. (go see Sophie on mine when you get a chance!)

  21. I love the sexy dress! I was at the supermarket checkout the other day, and a woman's zip was undone just like n your drawing. I wasnt sure if I shuld let her know, or if she left it like that for a reason....??? I was most confused as to what to do! your pic reminds me of this.
