  1. I am with this bag lady. I could definitely climb the walls what with this cold, windy day keeping me inside, again. Beautiful bag lady.

    amen, friend.

and yet, it's probably better to climb than to shrivel... (sometimes i don't know what to make of how my mind works...)

her facial expression says it all. i know the feeling you've captured so well.

  7. I also love your bag ladies series - am always drawn to brown paper. I saw a painting recently that was wrapped in brown paper and it was a bit ripped open so you could see the painting underneath. As I got closer I realized that the brown paper was actually part of the piece. The brown paper was the painting.

    I just loved it!

  9. Your bag ladies are a wonderful series! There's something really beautiful about the contrast between the rough, humble bag and the elegant style and colors of your drawings that is captivating. This one is very pretty... she looks as if she's about to become one of the roses!

  11. Beautiful! and I love how the wrinkles in the bag (which are in perfect form and places in the piece) along with the cast shadow you rendered give it a 3Dness

  21. Laura you are so beautiful to say that to me. That is true, I have to think and believe in all this powerful energy.

Please give my sincerest sympathies to your dear friend. Now losing her granddaughter would have to be the living end.

I hate when children or even people younger than me have this god damn disease.

    xoxo

    Love Renee
