Cactus Monday: A Day in the Valley

Yesterday was a glorious, sunny day with temperatures in the high seventies, but the best part of it was that I had the day off to myself. I have not had an entire day off in nearly a year! I took my dog Emma, some blank ATC cards, a pencil and and few markers and various reading material and headed for Carmel Valley. It was three hours of relaxation and bliss. I did this atc in about a minute, keeping it simple in black, white and blue.

After I draw as many atc's as there are members, I'm going to shuffle the cards, pick your names out of a hat and mail one to each of you! It will be a surprise to see which one is coming your way!

Here are a couple of photos of the park I went to yesterday. The first picture is Emma enjoying the moment and the view, the other one is the view from the table where I sat and made the atc.

Happy Cactus Monday from a very relaxed member!!

Love the simplicity of line and pattern in your "pale skyblue cacti" - honoring a "Day in The Valley", so effective!

  13. You have great idea sharing the ATC the creative way Lolo.

"Cool pale cactus" got the simple and clean approach.
Having this illustration done in this manner certainly is one of the greatest activity around to be "A Day in the Valley"

  20. Emma must be Greta's cosmic twin. Different colors, but the same soulful eyes. As Greta's story unfolded, it became clear I could never part with her-she trusts me to be there for her, and I always will.
