I'm so grateful for simple things. Fresh flowers, my old cat , Slick, on the table, the smell of citrus mixed with sunshine streaming in the window. I managed to capture this image in a snapshot many years ago. The day was perfect and Slick was sill fairly young.
I'm grateful for the fifteen years he gave me, and for the smile that sweeps across my face every time my heart remembers him.
I had to pull one from the archives today, sorry. I think it fits for the theme, however. Big art opening at the gallery tonight and tons to do!
If i were a cat I would lay on a table, bask in the shade of flowers and sniff lemons all day too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful and tender! And I also had to pull from my archives.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... what a wonderful composition with great color!
ReplyDeleteHow funny, I thought the same thing, "we both posted early". It's always a pleasure to see your IF post, and this is very uplifting. Slick looks so peaceful and I can only imagine the fresh scent of citrus :)

I love the color of the cat's eyes with the lemons...all great citrus hues!
ReplyDeleteYour cat looks puzzled and wants a clue as to which lemon to play with first... Thanks for visiting.

Very suggestive! The lemons light up the scene together with the flowers.
ReplyDeleteHey Laurel

So glad you like the different artists, if you look on the bottom of my blog it usually gives the name of the artist! Lovely picture of your animal....I lost my dog a year ago June after over thirty years of having dogs so I know the longing of losing a pet! Very dear iilo!
