IF : Homage To A Tree

"Each time these blossoms open I recall the friend who gave me the saplings, and the times we used to stop and drink beneath his trees;

But those springs of twenty years ago are like a dream,

And the wine cups of those days are tea-bowls now."

~Kisei Reigen~

If you have sound, please listen to "Dream Tree" as it plays, and then "Magnolia" if you have time to linger.

  12. Most everyone has already said what I would say ... especially catnapping! Perhaps we should have a longing basket where we could each write down the word(s) of the one thing we ache for but must live without.

  37. Hello Laurel,

    It was so nice to hear from you! It's amazing (or is it really) how much a person can affect you, yet you've never met. I am awed by this gorgeous painting - it expresses spring so honestly and beautifully.

    The cherry trees are in full bloom up here, despite the cooler temps.

    I hope you are happy and healthy. Thank you for your generosity.

    Peace & love ~mar
